Hester Bowers

Hester Ruth Bowers, 88 of Surprise, AZ died Thursday February 12th in Surprise. Memorial services will be 2:00 pm Friday February 20th at the Conway Community Church Panhandle with Mr. Gaylon Stamps of Panhandle officiating. Burial will be at 11 am Friday in Groom Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle.

Hester was born June 24, 1926 in Corsicana, TX to Jesse Covington Speed and Nellie Miller Speed. She was a surgical nurse at Pampa Highland General Hospital and Sun City Hospital in Arizona. She was a member of Eastern Star and a believer in Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jim and a son Kevin.
Hester is survived by a son Justin Bowers of Surprise, AZ. Sister in Law Leona Stamps and husband J. W. of Panhandle. Five grandchildren Sean, Brett, Tiffany, Michael and Katlyn. Ten Great grandchildren.
