Howard Henderson

Howard Oliver Henderson, 86, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am Wednesday, October 19, 2022, in Minton Memorial Chapel.  Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.  The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at the funeral home.

Howard was born September 11, 1936, in Fence Lake, New Mexico to Thomas Oliver Henderson and Margaret Long Henderson.  He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy from 1952 until 1956 during the Korean War and the Army Reserves from 1963 until 1976 during the Viet Nam War. Howard married Linda Nix on April 24, 1959, in Borger where he lived for sixty-three years. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Howard loved to hunt, fish and cattle ranch and he loved his family, especially his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Linda 2002, his two sons Tommy and Eric "Spanky" Henderson.

Howard is survived by his two sons, Daren Henderson and his wife Elsa of Gordonville, Texas, Dean Henderson and his wife Susan of Brandon, Mississippi; his sister, Dana Turner of Charleston, South Carolina; eight grandchildren, David, Ashley, Taylor, Hailey, Monica, Pamela, Samantha, Travis; five great-grandchildren, Timothy, Emery, Charlotte, Delilah and Emalynn; and daughter-in-law, Danette Henderson of Borger.
