Howard Arthur Yeager, 87 of Stinnett died Monday, August 8, 2016 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 12 at Westlawn Memorial Park with Pastor Sharalyn Larsen, of First Christian Church of Fritch officiating. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Howard was born August 12, 1928 in Stockton, CA to Delores Marie (Whaley) and Albert Phillip Yeager. He was a self-employed mechanic. Howard proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He married Betty Sims on March 8, 1978 in Clayton, NM. He was a member of the Masonic Unity Lodge #1242. Howard has lived in the Borger, Fritch, and Stinnett area since 1946. He loved to read, and loved sports, especially Texas Ranger's baseball.
Howard is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife, Betty, sons, Mike Yeager and Mark Parker, and his sister, Opal.
He is survived by his sons, Dwayne Yeager and wife, Dianna of Stinnett, Mike Parker of New Braunfels, TX, and Miles Parker of Rockport, TX; daughter, Donna Sue Huddleston and husband, Allen of Borger, and Betty Lou Caddel and husband, Doug of Perryton; brother, Albert Francis of Dewey, AZ; sister Helen Nally of Eric, KS; seventeen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren and one on the way.
