Huey “Hugo" Sanders, 83, died Friday March 6, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. A Celebration of his Life will be 1:00 p.m. Monday at Minton Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Hugo was born August 18, 1936, in Oak Grove, Louisiana to Jules Thomas Sanders and Willie Ethel McCowan Sanders. He married Pat Blanks February 1, 1958 in Clayton, NM. He drove a truck for Groendyke and before that had his own truck. He proudly served in the U. S. Army. He loved his family, riding his Harley, Hunting, Fishing, Yardwork (some say he had the best yard in town) , gardening and trips to Colorado.
He is survived by his two daughters, Ruthie Karlin and her husband Mike of Fritch and Gina Rawlins of Borger, his brother Wayne Sanders of Borger, his three grandchildren Gabriel Karlin, Ginnie Whitfield and Rachel Rawlins and fiancé Lee Carver and his six great grandchildren Michael, Caden, Daisee, Madelynn, Kenden and Beau. Good friends of Hugo are Bob Klaus, Al Preston, Mike Valdivia, Daisee Karlin, Madelynn Whitfield, Kenden Carver, Beau Carver and Trish Dannheim.
Casket Bearers will be Mike Karlin, Caden Bristow, Michael Karlin, Gabe Karlin, Jason Stevens, Presley McMahan, Al Preston and Lee Carver.
The family would like to thank BSA Hospice of the Southwest for their support especially Kristi, Terri and Kimberly.
