Hugo Reinhardt Leimer was born on November 16, 1926 in Beemer, Nebraska to Selma (Schilling) and Hugo Leimer. Hugo passed away on September 6, 2023 in Canyon, Texas. He has left us a legacy of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He believed that Christ died for his sins, and that believing in Him he would receive the free gift of eternal life. (Rom. 6:23) He loved reading God’s Word and memorizing passages that were the most meaningful to him. Through the truth of His Word the Lord made known to Hugo the path of life, and he found fullness of joy. (Ps. 16:11) He knew that he never needed to fear because the Lord was with him always. (Is. 143:1-2) Now Hugo has finished the race and come to the end of a life well-lived. He has remained true to the beliefs of God in His Word, and a crown of righteousness has been stored up for him. (2 Tim. 4:7-8; Rev. 2:10) We are rejoicing in knowing that Hugo is resting in the lavish love of his Savior!
He is survived by his beloved wife of 73 years, Dolores Leimer; children Cheryl Knight, Celeste Leimer, Verone Leimer and wife Pam; grandchildren Justin Knight and wife Kristin, Kara Leimer, Cade Leimer and wife Samantha; and great grandchildren Juliana Knight and Mark Leimer.
A private family service will be held on Monday, September 11, 2023.
