Ida Ramsey

Ida Lorene Ramsey, 97, died Wednesday, March 3, 2010 in Amarillo,

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 9th at Minton Memorial Chapel with Alan Ramsey and Scott Ramsey officiating. Interment will be in The Garden of Good Shepherd at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Ida Lorene had many friends and she was affectionally known as Granny by many. She was a wonderful Mother and a super Granny. She loved the Lord. She enjoyed embroidery and crocheting and had an outstanding doll collection. She made doll clothes and dolls for different charities. She loved to travel, was a member of The First Assembly of God in Borger, and she loved her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, R.A. Ramsey in 1967, daughter Helen Bulin and grandson David Tucker.

She is survived by her son Bobby Ramsey and wife Sue of Lamesa, CA, two daughters Ann Galyon and husband Mac of Borger, June Beal, soninlaw James Bulin of Amarillo, brother Bill Freeman of San Antonio, TX, sister Imogene Davis of Slaton, TX, twelve grandchildren, twentyone greatgrandchildren, and six greeagreat grandchildren.

Casket bearers will be Kent Galyon, Dana Galyon, Alan Ramsey, Scott Ramsey, Brandan Reynolds and Kevin Reynolds.

Memorials may be made to Vivians Nursing Home, 508 N. Taylor, Amarillo 79107.
