Avanell Williams, 83, died Tuesday, December 16, 2008 in Panhandle, Texas.

Services will be at the 2:00 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Panhandle with Pastor Joe Zimmerman officiating. Interment will be in Panhandle Cemetery under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle.BRBRMrs. Williams was born on February 23, 1925 in Panhandle. She was in the dry cleaning business for 30 years and was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and loved to do crafts and was an avid painter.BRBRShe is survived by three nephews - Lewis Williams wife Jonnie of Stinnett, Ronnie Williams wife Olga of Calgary, Ab. Canada, Jerry Williams wife Norma of Kernville, CA; four nieces - Pearl Williams of Stinnett, Dana Mericle husband Chuck of Mt. Vernon, TX, Bertha Gable of Talco, TX and Florene Tate and husband Bob of Yuma, Oregon, nineteen great nephews and nieces and a host of friends.

Casket bearers will be Carl Scott, Bob Williams, Bob Helker, Gabe Elam, Jacob Helker and Jimmy Joe Mitchell.BR
