Ilse Anneliese Moore, 90 of Borger went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 12, 2023, surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday, January 16, 2023, at Trinity Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. There will be a family and friends visitation at the funeral home on Sunday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Ilse was born September 21, 1932, in Bad Windsheim, Bavaria, Germany. She grew up in Germany with her parents and beloved sister Irene. She married Clyde Austin Moore, Jr. on December 11, 1956, and came over to build a life with him in the USA. She had four children, Bonnie, Barbara, Scott and John. Ilse was a devoted member of Trinity Church of the Nazarene for 58 years where she played the organ and piano, taught Sunday School and children’s church and served as the missionary president.
Ilse taught piano lessons to many local children throughout the years and volunteered at the Hutchinson County Museum after retirement from Phillip 66 where she was employed for 15 years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, blessing all her children and grandchildren with blankets. She loved to play chicken foot and skipbo with her family especially with her daughter Barbara every Friday night.
Ilse was a woman of great faith, resiliency and courage. She was a blessing to all that knew her.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Clyde; son, Scott; daughter in law, Cindy; son in law. Michael and sister, Irene.
Surviving are her daughters, Bonnie Mills and Barbara Barnett; son, John Moore and wife Suzanne who was her devoted caregiver; ten grandchildren,18 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
