Ima Raney

Ima Jean Raney, 84, passed away Friday, December 26, 2014.

Funeral services will be held 1 pm Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Panhandle. Burial will follow in the Panhandle Cemetery.

Ima Jean was born February 14, 1930 to William Elzy and Alma Belle Brantley in SmithLee Community in Eastern Oklahoma. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Panhandle. Ima Jean enjoyed reading, gardening and tending to her flowers. Her favorite pastime was quilting and she enjoyed giving them to her sons and grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents brothers, William and Benjamin Brantley and a sister, Betty Childers.

Survivors include her husband, L.E. Slim Raney of the home sons, Jim Raney of Panhandle, Roger Raney of Amarillo three grandchildren, Brenda, Michael and Brent Raney one great grandchild, Courtney Raney and a nephew, Wayne Thomas Brantley of Sequin.
