Imogean Jones Tipton, 85, died Thursday, July 13th, 2006 in Amarillo, Texas.BRBRServices will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 17th, at Minton Memorial Chapel with Rev. Leonard Forsythe, Pastor of Bible Baptist Church and Rev. Johnny Belt of Pampa, officiating. Interment will be in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger, Texas.BRBRMrs. Tipton was born on October 10, 1920 in Nashville, Arkansas, and had been a resident since 1946. She was a homemaker and member of Bible Baptist Church. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxillary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Blue Jones in 1960, her second husband, Virgil Tipton in 1991, her son - Willie Jones in 1968 in Viet Nam and her grandson - James Dale Hawthorne in 1991 in Desert Storm.BRBRShe is survived by her son - Steve Jones and his wife Regina of Granite Falls, North Carolina, three daughters - Jerrie Hawthorne and her husband James of Stinnett, Nella Fletcher and her husband Troy and Betty Sue Jones all of Borger, brother - L. Z. Wilkerson of Paris, Tx., seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Casket bearers will be Mike Fletcher, Tim Moneymaker, Thor Spalsbury, Johnny Belt, Bill Gariepy, and Tommy Callahan. Honorary bearers will be Skylar Moneymaker, Fletcher Moneymaker, Justin Hawthorne, Thor Spalsbury, Dirk Spalsbury, Lars Spalsbury and ty Fletcher.BRBRThe family will be staying at the home of Troy Nella Fletcher on Hwy 136 west of Borger.
