Irene Jackson

Irene Jackson, 87, died Tuesday, July 13, 2010 in Amarillo.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Memory Gardens in Pampa. Arrangements are under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mrs. Jackson was born on February 5, 1923 in Wesson, Mississippi and had been a longtime PhillipsBorger resident since 1940. She was a homemaker and member of Fairlanes Baptist Church. Irene married Sam Jackson on January 27, 1940 in Ft. Worth. She was preceded in death by her husband Sam in 1987, her parents S.K. and Mary Hartley and sister Christine Platt. She was a member of the hospital auxiliary and enjoyed cooking and reading.

She is survived by her daughter Linda Hatton of Fritch, three grandchildren Audie Hatton and wife Lori of Borger, Gayla Guenther and husband Steven of Amarillo, Sam Hatton and wife Carrie of Springtown, TX, nine greatgrandchildren Jessica Swenn and husband Shane of Amarillo, Zane Hatton of Lubbock, Zeb Hatton of Springtown, Dereck Guenther of Denver, CO, Lindee Guenther of Amarillo, Nikki Guenther of White Deer, Abbi Hatton, Syvo Hatton and Keyli Hatton all of Springtown, TX, two greatgreat grandchildren James Swenn and Claire Swenn both of Amarillo.

The Family will be staying at 501 W. LaSalle in Fritch.
