Ivan D. Nance Sr., 88 of Stinnett died Tuesday January 29th in Amarillo. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday at First Baptist Church in Borger with Bill Burkholder officiating. Burial will be at Stinnett Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Ivan was born April 20, 1924 at Blackwell, Oklahoma to Cecil and Mary Shores Nance. He served in the US Army during WWII. He married Anna M. Brown at Panhandle, Texas in 1941. He was a dirt contractor. He was a member of First Christian Church of Stinnett, American Motorcycle Association, lietime member of NRA, Texas Rifle Association and Panhandle Bluegrass Association of Amarilllo. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother Wesley and two granddaughters Jacque and Connie.
Ivan is survived by his sons Jerry Nance and wife Carolee of Borger, Larry Nance and wife Jeannette of Elk City, Oklahoma, Ivan D. Nance Jr. and wife Gwynne of Williams, AZ. Grandchildren Garry, Annie, Julie, Wesley, Christine Jones, Jason Flanner, Christy Turner, Paula Duffy, Shawn Maxwell and Jason Henry. 21 Great grandchildren.
