I.W. Walker

I. W. Walker, 70 of Borger went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday January 19th in Borger.

Funeral services will be on 2:00 pm Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the Word of Life Church with Eddie Pesch, pastor officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

I. W. was born November 4, 1947 in Borger to Frank Walker and Sekethia Cole. He graduated from Borger High School in 1967. He played football at Panhandle State. On May 24, 1985 he married Bertha Jones in Borger. He worked for Phillips 66 as a field mechanic until retiring in 1995. He loved the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers and any sport he could watch on TV. He enjoyed old western movies also. He loved to read and study his Bible.

I. W. is survived by his mother, Sekethia of Borger; wife, Bertha of Borger; daughter, Gwen Brown and husband Brandon of Borger; special Christian sons, Lito White and Terrance White; sisters, Ann Brantley and husband Paul of Dallas, Stella Sauls and husband Winston of Borger, Laverne Monroe of Wichita Falls, Texas, Yvette Powell and husband Jeff of Borger; grandson, Jeremiah Jones; great grandson, Jeremiah Jones Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, church family and good friends.
