J. Redwine

J. L. Redwine, 77 of Panhandle died Monday, October 20th in Amarillo. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday October 23rd at First Baptist Church of Panhandle with Rev. Josh Light, pastor officiating. Burial will be at Panhandle Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle.

J. L. was born April 12, 1937 in Littlefield, TX. He attended Muleshoe High School, Eastern New Mexico University and Wayland Baptist University. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Panhandle where he served as Deacon. He married Lynn Honeycutt on January 12, 1958 in Muleshoe, TX.

J.L. farmed in Bovina, Hale Center and Farwell, before moving to Panhandle in 1973. After retiring I from farming in 2004 he purchased a truck and hauled for various individuals and construction companies. His favorite days were spent with his family, visiting with friends, neighbors and attending church.

He was preceded in death by his parents James Leonard Sr. and Selma Redwine.

He is survived by his pride and joy his wife of 56 years Lynn. Son Leslie and wife Leicia Redwine and granddaughters Leah Redwine of Claude: Lauren Redwine of Amarillo. Daughter Sharlotte and husband Mike Watson of Pampa. Grandson Reece Watson and wife Breanna of Albuquerque, NM. Granddaughter Erin Watson of Pampa. 2 Great grandchildren Brooke and Easton. Son Lanny and wife Shannon Redwine. Grandson Cordie Redwine and granddaughter Samantha Redwine of Herford. Daughter Leasha and husband Gordon Hobbs of Panhandle. Granddaughters Alyssa and husband Cody Crawford of Panhandle. Granddaughter Kelly and husband Jason Smith of Amarillo. Grandson Brady Hobbs of Panhandle. Sisters Billie Ruth Downing of Lubbock, Marcia Mardis of Wichita KS. Nelda Hunt and brother in law Robert of Muleshoe. Brother Jackie Redwine and sisterinlaw Kay of Herford. Two sister in laws Kay Lindsey and husband Howard of Shallowater: Juanita Jones of Terrell. Brotherinlaw Larry Honeycutt of Slaton. Numerous nieces and nephews.
