Jack Cowan

Jack Cowan, 73, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015.

Funeral service will be held 2 pm Monday, March 9, 2015 at Grace Fellowship Church. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Jack was born October 19, 1941 in Casa Grande, Arizona to Robert and Alta Mae Cowan, and raised by Jack and Alta Mae Carpenter. He proudly served in the United States Army. Jack retired in 2001 as a shift supervisor for Phillips 66. He enjoyed playing slot machines, yard work and tinkering in his workshop. Nothing brought more joy to his life than spending time with his grandkids.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Peggy; brother, Charles Cowan; and sisters, Delena Collins and Wanda Cowan.

Survivors include his daughters, Jacqualine Wilkinson and husband, Tracy of Borger, Jennifer Schubert and husband, Kyle of Borger; grandchildren, Dakota Schubert, Berkley Schubert, and Kenzie Glosson; special friend, Linda Bartlett of Amarillo; sisters, Joyce Chadwick and husband, Dale of San Angelo, Linda Alley and husband, John of Cunningham, Kansas, Peggy Dobbs of Fritch; in-laws, Leroy and Janet Powell of Borger, Jim and Diane Powell of Midland and Carolyn Hopkins of Panhandle; and a host of extended family.
