Jack Willis Haskins, 88, died Monday, June 30, 2008 in Amarillo, Texas.BRBRServices will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church in Panhandle with Rev. Bud Kidwell, Pastor officiating. Interment will be in Panhandle Cemetery under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle.BRBRMr. Haskins was born on October 20, 1919 in Vinita, Oklahoma. He had previously lived in Panhandle for 20 years and had lived the past three years in Amarillo. He married Sarah Alice Nolen on October 9, 1941 in Dillion, South Carolina. He served in the US Army Air Force during WW II, and was a retired machinist, working from 1959 to 1984 at the Los Alamos Scientific Lab. He was a member of Panhandle First United Methodist Church. He loved his wife, Sarah, his family and golfing. He was a member of the Panhandle VFW.BRBRHe was preceded in death by his parents, Tom Sylvia Haskins, daughter, Rosemary Andrus, son, Randy Haskins, one sister and one brother.BRBRHe is survived by his wife Sarah of the home, son - Raymond Haskins of Amarillo, granddaughters - Jay Sarah Duncan and Tiffany Rae Andrus both of Panhandle, three step-granddaughters all of Amarillo, grandson - Aaron Raymond Andrus of Amarillo, three great-grandsons - Corporal Jayson Walser of Oklahoma City, OK, Dustin Walser and Lawrence Davis both of Panhandle, great-granddaughter - Adalyne Davis of Panhandle and six step-great-grandchildren all of Amarillo.BRBRMemorials may be made to BSA Hospice, 721 N.
