Jack Johnson Jr

MORSE Jack Johnson, Jr. of Morse died Friday, May 10, in Lubbock. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 13, at the Lieb Cemetery with Jimmy Gillmore, of Riverview Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Jack was born in Texhoma, Oklahoma to Jack and Lily Riley Johnson, Sr. on November 13, 1926. Jack was a lifetime resident of Morse. He married Wilma Womble on July 25, 1946 in Morse. Jack also served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Borger Elks Lodge 1581. Jack was in the farming and ranching business as well as the oil and gas industry. He liked to travel and especially go to Las Vegas.

Jack was preceded in death by his wife in 1985. He is survived by his sons, Mike Johnson and wife Carla of Morse and David Johnson and wife Gail of Dumas daughter Kay Griffis of Lubbock brother, Charles Johnson of Lubbock sister Merle Cambern of Montgomery, TX five grandchildren, Alexis JohnsonJones and husband Bert of Allen, TX, Lisa Johnson Henderson and husband Justin of Fisco, TX, Amanda Johnson Porter and husband Shawn of Plano, TX , Brad and Ashley Griffis both of Lubbock greatgrandchildren Merrit Rose Henderson and David Bennett Henderson Several Nieces and Nephews.
