James Curtis Bowie Davis, 49, died Friday September 26, 2008 in Borger. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Minton Memorial Chapel with Brother Jeff Hutchison of Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park cemetery.

Bowie was born November 12, 1958 in Borger where he had been a lifetime resident. He worked as a roughneck in the oilfield business.

Survivors include a son - James Nicholas Nick Davis of Amarillo; parents - James and Virginia Jenny Davis of Borger; brother - Robert Alan R.D. Davis of Borger; two nieces - Lacy Davis and Walter Petit and their daughter Jordyn of Borger, Amanda Davis of Fritch; nephew - Ryan Davis of Fritch; granddaughter - Brynne Davis of Amarillo.

Casketbearers will be Bruck Blackman, Dennis Heckathorn, Eddie Vandergriff, and John Dial.

The family will be at 1620 Takewell St. Borger, Texas.
