James Raymond Moore, 89, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2015.
Graveside service will be held 2 pm Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger with Pastor Marty Harrison, officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, June 15, 2015 at the funeral home form 5-7 pm.
James was born September 25, 1925 in Aplin, Arkansas to Emma (Guess) and W.R. Moore. He married the love of his life, Bonnie Parker, on June 18, 1966 in Fritch. James proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during WW II. He worked as an electrical superintendent for Phillips Petroleum, during that time he worked for eight years in Stavanger, Norway. James was a member of Unity Lodge. He enjoyed traveling, fishing and spending time in South Fork, Colorado. Nothing brought more joy to his life than being with his kids and grandkids.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Joy Mullins; and brother, Don Moore.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie of the home; son, James Trevor Moore of Amarillo; daughter, Leiann Elliott and husband Jerry of Ellis, Kansas; three grandchildren, Letisha, Brittany and Logan; and three great grandchildren, Faythe, Maddison, and Evelyn.
