James Douglas "Doug" Nicoson, 64, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018.
Services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, December 22, 2018 in the Minton Memorial Chapel with Pastor Les Sharp officiating. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Doug was born on October 15, 1954 in Borger, Texas Sherman Nicoson and Geraldine Hollen Nicoson. He married Karen Monroe on April 24, 1982 in Borger. He proudly served in the United States Navy as an electrician on the USS Bordelon during the Vietnam Era. Doug liked to fish, go golfing, hunting and traveling. He had a passion for fixing anything, from home repairs to small engines and everything in between. He had a heart for people and was always willing to help others in need. Doug enjoyed just hanging out especially with family and friends, nothing brought more joy to his life than his grandkids.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine "Jeri" Carson; wife, Karen Nicoson; and brother, John Michael Nicoson.
Survivors include his father, Nic Nicoson of Newport Richey, Florida; sons, Kenneth Aaron Wysong and wife Sharlee of Fritch, Paul D. Wysong and wife Destiny of Fritch; daughter, Heather Hickman and husband Billy of Borger; fourteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; brothers, Steve Nicoson of Oklahoma, David Nicoson of Borger; uncle, Mark Hollen of Borger; and a host of beloved friends who he considered family.
