James “Jim” Craig Stark, II, 68, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2022.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Friday, May 27, 2022, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Shane Wieck, celebrant. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The Rosary will be recited on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 6 pm.
Jim was born October 24, 1953, in Liberal, Kansas to James Craig Stark and Dollie Irene Rexroad Stark. He was a 1973 graduate of Borger High School. He married Lesa Marie Rosner on December 1, 1995, in Fritch, Judge Faye Blanks presided over their union. Jim worked as a quality inspector for Chevron Phillips Chemical Company for 43 years. He enjoyed welding, being on the lake, participating in community activities including the Boy Scouts, Knights of Columbus, and youth sports. Nothing brought more joy to his life than his grandbabies.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Dollie Stark; grandson, James Craig Stark, III; and brother-in-law, Bep Felker.
Survivors include his wife, Lesa Marie Stark of Borger; sons, Craig Stark and Mandi Jones of Amarillo, Trey Jones and fiancé Kari Suby of Borger; daughters, Brittnee Hooks and husband Milton of Houston, Alex Mitchell and husband Steven of Borger; eleven grandchildren, Kaylee, Wyatt, Austyn, Baydon, Amber, Alana, Claude, Jaden, Taytum, Kaytlynn, Amilya; brother, John Stark and wife Laura of Borger; sisters, Peggy Newcomb and husband Jerry of Fritch, Paula Felker of Borger, Pat Reeves of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Pam Purinton and husband Chappy of Billings, Montana; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
