Jason Ernest Roselius, 48, of Oklahoma City, died January 4, 2018. Family and friends visitation will be Tuesday, January 9th, from 5 to 7 pm at Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors in Panhandle. Services will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at First United Methodist Church in Panhandle, TX.
Jason was born May 11, 1969 in Amarillo to Reva and Jay Roselius. He married his true love, Amy Dauer Biggs on November 25, 2017 and together they have four children. He graduated from Panhandle High School in 1987. He graduated magna cum laude from West Texas State University in 1991. He received his law degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 1995. He was a member of the Oklahoma County and Oklahoma Bar Association.
Jason was a member of the Arkansas Bar Association and was admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals. He led and won numerous record breaking State and national class action law suits, and still holds the honor of being the youngest attorney to win a class- action law suit in the state of Oklahoma. He also represented individuals in cases involving serious personal injuries and wrongful deaths. Many of these cases involved complex and novel theories of law and were against the nation's largest oil field services company. The state resulted in what was, at the time, one of the largest single- death settlements in Texas history. He will be remembered for his humility and the joy he found in helping others.
In addition to practicing law, Jason was also a successful businessman and entrepreneur. He was instrumental in the advancement of ArcView where he was currently creating a public round table.
A passionate outdoorsman with an adventurous spirit, Jason loved, hunting, fishing, paddle boarding, surfing and skiing. He constantly pursued knowledge and loved to learn. He was an avid reader with a passion for history. He had a remarkable gift of bringing out the best in everyone around him. He will forever be remembered for his quiet strength, compassion, strong character, and his passion for defending those who needed him most, even his dogs. His highest priority in life was time spent loving and protecting his children, the greatest joy of his life.
He is preceded in death by grandfather Ernest Roselius, grandparents Roberta and Andrew Atkins, uncle Larry Pingelton, aunt and uncle Carol and Jimmy Don Mitchell, mother and father- in- law Charlotte and John Paul Dauer.
Survivors include his wife, Amy and their children Presley and Jett of Oklahoma City, OK and Halee and Tristan of Frisco, TX. Parents Reva and Jay Roselius of Amarillo.
