J.D. Jay Cannefax, 84, died Saturday, July 29, in Borger.BRBRGraveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in The Garden of Serenity at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Charles Johnson, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Fritch officiating. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.BRBRMr. Cannefax ws born on September 28, 1921 in Hugo, Oklahoma. He had lived in the Borger-Fritch area since 1970, moving here from California. Mr. Cannefax was in the United States Army Air Force. He retired from Fish Construction in Borger as a carpenter, and had previously retired from Standard Oil Co. of California. He was a Methoidst. He was preceded in death by two wives, his daughter's mother, Charlotte, and his second wife, Mary, also his parents, John and Mattie Cannefax, four brothers and one sister.BRBRHis survivors include 1 Daughter - Linda Boothe and her husband, Val of Borger, 1 Brother - Bob Cannefax and his wife, Rosie of borger, 1 Sister - Lola Mae Luman and her husband, Maruice of El Paso, 2 grandchildren, 2 great-grandsons, 1 great-grandaughter, 1 great-great granddaughter
