Jennie Stone

Panhandle Jennie L. Stone, 85, went home to be with her Lord August 12th. Memorial Services are scheduled for 2:00 Tuesday at the First Baptist Church of Panhandle with Mr. Joe Zimmerman, pastor, officiating. Services are under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle. Casket bearers will be Shawn Stone, Jason Stone, John Ben-Andrew Stone, David Fuess, Derek Stone and Benjamin Stone. Jennie was an active member of First Baptist Church Panhandle, using her many talents throughout the church including Love-In-Action and the Senior Ministry, however, she will be most remembered for her many hours of service in the church kitchen. She was retired from the Panhandle ASCS office after 30 years of service during which time she received numerous service awards. Jennie is survived by her husband of 66 years, Ben Stone; two sons and daughter-in-laws - Mike and Le Stone of Odessa and John and Donna Stone of Murphy, NC; 5 grandchildren - Shawn Stone, Kristin Fuess, Jason Stone, John Ben-Andrew Stone and Becky Cranfill and 6 great grandchildren - Derek Stone, Benjamin Stone, Kendall Fuess, Kelsey Fuess, Megen Stone and Peyton Cranfill. She will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the Carson County Library, 401 Main Panhandle, TX 79068 or the First Baptist Church Library, 701 Main Panhandle, TX 79068.
