Jenny Johnston, 79, of Amarillo, formerly of Fritch, died Monday, December 24, 2012 in Amarillo.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 28, 2012 at the Minton Memorial Chapel with Pastor Blain Shelton of Grace Church officiating. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Jenny Johnston was born July 27, 1933 in Phillips, Texas to Carl and Berline Boyett Hamilton. She married Red Johnston August 6, 1950 in Amarillo. Jenny was a Phillips High School graduate and a member of Fairlanes Baptist. She retired from United Mud as a secretary, and was an Amarillo resident for the last 11 years, moving from Fritch. Jenny was a member of the Borger Bridge Club, the Dance Club, and loved taking cruises, and traveling, especially to Las Vegas, Nevada.

Survivors include two daughters Cindy Johnston, and Gena Whisenant, both of Amarillo her son Harold Johnston and wife Beverly of Borger her brother Charles Hamilton of Dallas five grandchildren, and seven greatgrandchildren.

Jenny is preceded in death by her husband Red Johnston October 21, 1998, and her sister Charlene Talley.
