Jerald Douglas Lester, 79, died Wednesday, September 5th in Amarillo.BRBRServices will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Minton Memorial Chapel in Borger with Rev. Crhis Rawlinson, Pastor of Gateway Baptist Church officiatring. Interment will be in Wheeler Cemetery under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.BRBRMr. Lester was born on June 1,1928 in Wheeler County, TX. He had been a resident of Fritch for 60 years. He was a bricklayer and served in the US Navy from 1945 to 1947. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Lester in 2002.BRBRSurvivors include his beloved companion - Annette Brooks of the Home, son - Wallace Lester wife, Brenda of Benbrook, TX., three daughters - Sue Green husband, Bill of Lake Tanglewood, Tx., Deborah Luppanner of Amarillo, Paula Nelson and her husband, Jerry of Dumas, two step-daughter - Martha Orand and husband, Gary and Patricia Bailey and husband, David all of Borger, two step-sons - Robert Cruse and wife, Marilyn of Amarillo, Ricky Cruse of Little Rock, AK., three brothers - Harold Lester of Borge, Doye Lester and wife, Jean of Bakersfield, CA., James Lester and wife, Betty of Canyon, TX., sister - Wilma Wyatt and husband, Elton of Lubbock, Tx., ften grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and eight step great-grandchildren.
