Jerry Eagle

Jerry Don Eagle, 81, of Panhandle passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2018.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Friday, June 15, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Panhandle with Pastor Josh Light officiating. Burial will follow in Panhandle Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle. In lieu of flowers his memory may be honored with a gift to the First Baptist Church Benevolent Fund, P. O. Box 189 Panhandle, Texas, 79068.

Jerry was born June 6, 1937 in Amarillo, Texas to M. D. Eagle and Geraldine Claycomb Eagle. He married Sondra Wasson on August 30, 1958. Jerry was a member of First Baptist Church of Panhandle. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing golf. Nothing brought more joy to his life than his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; an infant son; and a grandson Aaron.

Survivors include wife, Sondra of Panhandle; daughters, Janet Lewis and husband Kelly of Panhandle, Deanna Eagle of Panhandle; three grandchildren, Ryan and wife Ashley, Kaitlyn and husband, Joshua and Ethan; one great granddaughter, Averee; sisters, Paula Walker and husband Clark of Victoria, Texas, Jill Damerow and husband Chuck of Bakersfield, California.
