Jerry Elrod

Jerry Paul Elrod, 75 of Borger, passed away Sunday October 26th in Borger. Cremation is under the Direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family wishes that friends come by the funeral home to sign the guest book from Wednesday thru Friday and also see a picture memorial.

Jerry was born December 6, 1938 in Kemp, Oklahoma to Paul and Christine Elrod, and he was a citizen of the Chickasaw Nation. He married Sharron Browning July 6, 1959 in Stinnett, TX. He had been a Borger resident for 68 years and worked for Phillips Petroleum Copolymer Plant in shipping and receiving before retiring. He loved fishing, golf, and all forms of motorsport racing.

Jerry is survived by his wife Sharron of Borger son Todd and wife Karen Elrod of Fritch son Tony and wife Dona Elrod of Borger daughter Terrie Arnett and husband Kevin of Spring, TX Brother Terry Elrod of Borger Sister Danna Rowe of Ardmore, OK and Sister Bobbie Adams of Borger. Jerry was blessed with six grandchildren, including Marca Elrod of Borger Jarred and wife Amanda Elrod of Phoenix, AZ Shelby Wright and husband Travis of Borger Kaylea Arnett of Blacksburg, VA Alyssa Arnett of Spring, TX and Houston Elrod of Austin, TX Jerry was also blessed with seven great grandchildren: Brayden, Evan, Colin, Cody, Natalie and Brynlee all of Borger and Laney of Austin.
