Jerry Dan Grange passed away February 1, 2013 at Medical City Dallas, Texas at the age of 63. He was born on March 29, 1949 to James Mack and Cecile Grange in Quanah, Texas.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, James Mack and Cecile Grange. He is survived by his wife Kathy Grange of McKinney two daughters, Kelli Hernandez and husband Ross of McKinney Jaime Greene and husband Jerry of Austin three grandchildren Kenli, Zoe and Camden, whom he loved so very much. Jerry is also survived by two brothers, Mack Grange and wife Nettie of Grant, Oklahoma Joe Grange and wife Teri of White Deer and one sister Margaret McAdams and husband Carl of Farris, Texas and many nieces and nephews.
Jerry graduated from White Deer High School in 1968. He attended Southeastern State University in Oklahoma and graduated in 1972. He began his coaching career in Stinnett from 1974 to 1985, the last three years as Athletic Director and Head Coach. He then coached in Sanford Fritch for 22 years before retiring in 2007. Jerry loved to hunt, fish and golf with his buddies and his latest hobby was garage selling with his brother.
Services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday Feb. 5th at the First Baptist Church in Borger, Texas, under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Home, on Tuesday, February 5th at 11:00 a.m. Graveside services will be immediately following in White Deer, Texas.
Visitation will be Monday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Minton Chatwell. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association P. O. Box 3238 Borger, Texas 79007.
