Jerry Wayne Horton

Jerry Wayne Horton, 66, passed from this life Thursday April 4, 2024 at his home surrounded by family and friends.  His Celebration of Life service will be at 2 pm on Wednesday April 10, 2024 at Trinity Church, of which he was a member, in Panhandle with Pastor Frank Garcia and Rev. Traci Truley officiating.  Jerry wanted everyone to know that he had Bladder Cancer caused by smoking.

He was born October 14, 1957 in Pampa to Eugene Horton and Shannon Morgan Horton. He traveled the world with Exxon as an oil and gas consultant and lived in the Panhandle area for the past twenty-eight years. He married Carla Cogdell April 27, 2007 in Panhandle and was a proud member of the Harley Owners Group.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Michael Horton and his sister Cynthia Meeks.

Jerry is survived by his wife Carla, his two daughters Jessica Tait and Nakisha Horton both of Denver, CO, his three grandchildren Jaden Praytor, Taylor Praytor and Bryce Bowley and his sister Sherry Bolch and her husband Jack Farris of Pampa, TX.
