Jessie Thompson

Jessie Thompson, 80, of Borger died March 3, 2007 at Amarillo, Texas. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m.Tuesday at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Mings of Oklahoma officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Good Shepherd at Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Jessie was born March 10, 1926 in Weleetka, Oklahoma to Bud and Edna Harvey. She married Marvin Thompson Jan. 26, 1946 at Whitesboro, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in 1996 and also two sisters Nella James and Katie Chesney.

She sold real estate for Ed Turner and later Best Realty for 30 yrs. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and Borger Stamp Club. She was known for her friendly smile and sense of humor. Jessie loved nature, espicially her birds and flowers.

She is survived by two sons Bob and wife Judy of Borger and Jim Thompson of Fritch, Tx. Daughter Kay Thompson of Porto Martins, in the Azores. four grandchildren Renee and husband Joey Petelle of Sun Valley, Idaho, Nicole Thompson and husband Dave Lucas of Azores, Brian and wife Michelle Thompson of Borger and Blaine Thompson of Irving, Tx., three great-grandchildren, three sisters Hester Williams of Decatur, Tx, Iva Dell Kennedy of Whitesboro, Oklahoma and Helen Saldago of Reno, Nevada, brother Kenneth Harvey of Silver Springs, Nevada and many nieces and nephews.
