Jewel Thomas Pete Fleming, 76, of Panhandle, died Saturday in Carson County. Memorial Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Calvary Baptist Church with Bro. Cole Goldsmith, pastor, officiating. Pete was born June 8, 1933 to William and Laura Fleming in Lafayette, KY. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He moved to Panhandle from Clarksville, TN in 1965. He married Amy Folck on August 24, 1969 in Canyon. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was a retired Quality Control Engineer for Pantex. Pete enjoyed fishing and collecting ball caps. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Billy Fleming. Survivors include his wife - Amy of the home; 5 sons - Jason Fleming wife Brenda of Lubbock, Mark Fleming wife Kathy of Amarillo, Michael Fleming wife Kim of Randall County, William Tyson Fleming and Barton Fleming of Arizona; 2 daughters - Jackie Adams husband Bryan of Canyon and Janice Macalvane of Arizona; 3 sisters - Nancy Scott of Kentucky, May Joyce Neal of Kentucky and Betty Sherraden of Arkansas; 15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to The City Church 205 S. Polk Street Amarillo, Texas 79101.
