Jim Bob Burton 60 of Stinnett passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021 in Amarillo. There will be private family services at a later date. A visitation of family and friends will be Tuesday January 5, 2021 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Katie and Kyle Kight home at 801 E. 1st St Stinnett, TX. Cremation is under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Jim Bob was born April 4, 1960 in Borger to Billy Wayne and Mary Ann (Willett) Burton. He was a lifetime resident of Stinnett graduating from Stinnett High School in 1978. He married Kimberly Bivins June 1, 1991 in Amarillo. He loved cowboying, horses, dogs, hunting, the outdoors and especially his boys.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister in law Kristi Bivins Willis.
Surviving is his wife Kimberly. Sons Zane Burton of Seligman, AZ and Rhett Burton of Stinnett. Sister Jo Ann Burton Van Huss and husband Mickey of Stinnett. Father in law and Mother in law Johnny and Sharon Bivins of Dalhart. Aunt Jan Barnes of Stinnett. Niece Katie Kight and husband Kyle of Stinnett. Nephews Blaine Willis, Brett Willis both of Amarillo and Bryce Willis and wife Julie of San Antonio. Great nephews Kash Kreede and Khord Kight both of Stinnett. Numerous cousins and friends.
