Jim Miles

Jim Miles, 84, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015.

Funeral service will be held 11 am Saturday, July 25, 2015 in the Minton Memorial Chapel with Rev. Weldon Rives, pastor of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 am on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers his memory may be honored with a gift to Ussery Roan Texas State Veterans Home, 1020 Tascosa Road, Amarillo, Texas 79124.

Jim was born June 10, 1931 in Franklin, Texas to Bertha Miles his father being Marion McNeely. He married Delores "Deanie" McMahon on December 7, 1959 in Lubbock. Jim proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed real country music, shooting pool, watching movies and television and hanging out with his friends. Jim was a biker at heart who always had a smile on his face and never met a stranger.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

Survivors include his sons, Jimmy Miles and wife Donna of Somers, Montana, Joel Miles of Amarillo; daughters, Gina Gile and husband Steve of South Sioux City, Nebraska, Christy Campbell and husband John of Warner Robins, Georgia; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
