Jim H West Sr

Jim H. West Sr., 90, of Borger passed away early Thursday morning, January 11, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. Rosary will be at 6:00 p.m. Monday, January 15, 2024, at the funeral home.  Funeral mass will be at 10:00 am, Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church.

Jim was born October 14, 1933, in Plainview, Texas to Hugh Cecil and Dorothy Evelyn (Sawyers) West.  He retired from the US Army as a helicopter pilot, serving in Viet Nam. He pastored the First Christian Church for seven years. He loved people, fishing and anything that broke a sweat "No Way". He married Maria de Lourdes Hernandez on February 11, 2017 in Borger. He was raised in Hilton Hotels, where his dad was a manager and mother was hostess.

Preceding him in death are his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife, Maria de Lourdes of Borger; sons, Jack Lane West of Pioneer, Louisiana, Jim H. West Jr. of Borger, Kenneth West of Hickory, North Carolina, Farrel Reeves of Chandler, Arizona, Jack D. Reeves of Fritch, Kenji Shiosaki, of Mexico City; daughters, Cynthia Sturkie of Amarillo, Texas, Patty Ludden of Burleson, Texas, Janet Tyner of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Mary Williams of Hickory, North Carolina and Mayuli Marquez of Borger, Texas; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
