Jimmie Fern Cox

Jimmie Fern Greer Cox, 89, of Borger went to be with her Lord and Savior, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at her son’s home in Fritch. Funeral services will be 11:00 am July 19, 2023, at Minton Memorial Chapel. There will be a visitation of family and friends on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at the funeral home.

Jimmie was born on October 6, 1933 at Malaga, Eddy County, New Mexico to Adrian and Dorothy (McDonald) Greer. She graduated from Borger High School in 1952. Jimmie married Bill J. Cox August 13, 1955, in Raton, New Mexico. She joined Wesley Methodist Church in 1961. She worked with her husband in the carpet cleaning business. She owned Jimmie’s Casual Wear. She also worked as a bookkeeper for several companies, security officer and was a nurse’s aide. She loved music, dancing and her family.

Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, daughter, Tracy Delynn Cox and a granddaughter Kayla Dawn Cox.

Surviving is her son, Joe Cox of Fritch; daughter, Tammy Lee Strobel and husband Wade of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Candace Howard, Ryan Strobel, and Brennan Strobel; great grandchildren, Tayber Michael, Hailey Howard and Haven Howard.

Memorial may be made to the Disabled American Veterans Association.
