Jimmie Charles Sargent, 74, of Stinnett died Monday October 6, 2008 in Pampa. Services will be 2 p.m. thursday at the Stinnett Church of Christ with Mr. Jim York officiating. Interment will follow in the Stinnett cemetery.

BRJimmie was born October 12, 1933 in Quanah to Joe and Hannah Sargent. On May 19, 1951 he married Vista Pauline Taylor in Phillips. He was a lifetime resident of the Stinnett and Borger area. Jimmie was a member of the Stinnett Church of Christ where he was very involved in everyday duties. He loved his grandkids, great grandkids, horses, and wood crafts. Jimmie retired as a heavy equipment operator after 57 years with Sid Richardson Carbon Company and Phillips Petroleum company. BRBRSurvivors include his wife Pauline of the home; son - Charlie Sargent and wife Kathy of Stinnett; daughter - Carol Trolinger and husband Joe of Skellytown; son-in-law - Jim tom Smith of Kingfisher, OK; 2 brothers - Darrell J. Sargent and wife Doris of Skellytown, Kenneth Wayne Sargent and wife Betty of Amarillo; BR5 grandkids - Lynn and Jennifer Sargent, Tye Sargent, Jimmy Joe and Ky Smith, Shonda and Shannon Lehr, Raymond and Carolee Trolinger; and 8 great grandkids.BRBRJimmie is preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Elda Mae Smith.BRBRMemorials may be made to the Lubbock Childrens Home Foundation PO Box 2449 Lubbock, Tx 79408 or to favorite charity.
