Jimmie Shields

Jimmie Lee Shields, 86 of Pringle passed away Tuesday December 26, 2017. Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 28 at the First Baptist Church of Morse. Burial will be at Lieb Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Jimmie was born in Collingsworth County on May 5, 1931 to Benton M. and Etta Mae (Jett) Shields. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Jimmie was a self-employed farmer and rancher. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his son, Steven, and sister, Glenna Reed.

Jimmie is survived by his wife, Carolyn Womble Shields; son Alan Shields and wife Shelly of Boise City, Ok; daughter, Connie McCloy and husband, Clyde of Pringle; daughter-in-law LuAnn Shields also of Pringle; brothers, Leon Shields of Vinson, OK and Lonnie Shields of Spearman; sister Bonnie Harland of Oxford, MS; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
