Jimmie "Jim" Earl Welch

Jimmie “Jim” Earl Welch, 74 of Fritch passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023, in Amarillo. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Westlawn Memorial Park. Burial is under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. A family and friends visitation will be Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at the funeral home from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Jim was born March 16, 1949, in Borger to Vernon and Dorothy (Patrick) Welch. He was a graduate of Borger High School. He worked as a consultant in the oil fields. He married LaDonna Ann Cummings on June 5, 1992, in Borger. Jim loved to fish, play bingo and gamble at the slot machines.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents; stepson, Donny Ethridge; brother, Eddie; sisters, Judy and Mary.

Surviving is his wife LaDonna of Fritch; sons, Jimmie John Welch of Borger, James Edward Welch and wife Christin of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Jayme Welch of Pampa, Texas; daughter, Zondra Wood and husband Larry of Borger; stepdaughter, Natosha Estridge of Borger; brother, Vernon Welch of Tulsa, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
