Jimmy Ray Heckathorn passed away at his home in Fort Worth , TX on 11109, at the age of 72, after a short bought with cancer. BR

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Bible Baptist Church with Rev. Leonard Forsythe, Pastor officiating. Interment will be in The Garden of Devotion at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors

Family visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.BR

Jim was born in Oklahoma on August 9, 1936 and moved to Borger with his family at an early age. He lived in Borger for over 40 years before moving to Fort Worth in the mid 80s. He was a retired insulator and master electrician. He was the absolute best father and husband that anyone could have asked for and he will be missed every day of our lives. He was preceded in death by his first wife Nelda Gene and a son Kelsey Gene. BR

Survivors include wife Mary of the home, 2 Sons, Steven Heckathorn and his wife Shawn of Clovis, New Mexico, Dennis Heckathorn and his wife Lynn of Borger, and 1 Daughter, Nannette Adkins and her husband Wendell of Fort Worth. One step-son James Sonny Copeland and his wife Dalilah of Fort Worth, one step-daughter Lisa Craddock and her husband Lonnie of Durant, Ok. He had 20 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He is also survived by 2 brothers Ben Heckathorn and his wife Michelle of Fort Worth and Bill Heckathorn and his wife JoAnn of Killeen, Tx , along with numerous nieces, nephews and a vast extended family of close personal friends.

Pallbearers will be Wendell Adkins, Lenny Bilhartz, Gene Stone, Matthew Baldwin, Shawn Heckathorn and Darryl Morris. Honorary Paul Bearers are Stanley Cummings and Perry Ratliff.
