Jimmy was born on October 24, 1963 in Clinton, Oklahoma born to Harley Kerbo and Pauline Arterberry and was later adopted by his step dad, Mr. Witt. Jimmy married the love of his life Toni Gandy on February 4, 1995 in Panhandle. Jimmy enjoyed playing music in the garage, fishing, dancing, riding the four wheeler with Rooster, playing card games, driving his 18 wheeler, playing pool, and the White Deer rodeo. Jimmy was an avid Oklahoma Sooners fan and later became an A&M Aggies fan shortly after Seth graduated from there. His family was his pride and joy, he loved watching his kids excel in their many activities and careers and proudly bragged about his children. To know Jimmy you know the comedian, the life of the party, the one you heard before you saw, the fun loving gentle giant, the one who would take the last shirt off his back for anyone in need, the loud and filter free ornery man with a heart of gold. The zest for life, a ray of sunshine, the one who never met a stranger, and the one that always had a smile on his face was only some of the characteristics he will be remembered for.

He was survived by his wife Toni Witt of the home ; Son, Seth Witt of Dumas ; Daughters, Kami Witt and boyfriend Thomas Freeman of Canyon and Meagan Coleman and Husband James of Seminole, OK ; Father in Law, Don Gandy ; Brother in law Brian Gandy and wife Sandra and Niece Shayla of Panhandle ; Nephew Justin Gandy and wife Angela and great niece Eden of White Deer ; Niece Brianna Gandy and boyfriend Brandon of Tahlequah, OK ; Four grandchildren Jaycee, Joshua, James, Josalyn and numerous Cousins, Aunts, and Uncles ; and his beloved fur baby Rooster J. Cogburn.
