J. M. Mick Rogers, Jr., 81, died Sunday, May 25, 2008 in Amarillo, Texas.BRBRMemorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Church of Christ in Fritch with Mr. Richard Kasko, Minister officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.BRBRMr. Rogers was born on May 22, 1927 in Colorado City, Tx. He had been a lifetime resident of the Borger-Fritch area. He was a truck driver. J.M. married Iva Nell Lane on July 9, 2003 in Clovis, NM. He served in the U.S. Marines during WW II as a PFC. He was president of the Sheriff's Pose for over 20 years and was a member of the Fritch Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.BRBRHis survivors include his wife, Nell Rogers of the Home; three sons - Kenneth J. Rogers of Panhandle, Andy Micheal Rogers of Twenty-Nine Palms, CA, Larry Clark of Woodward, OK; three daughters - Candice Micki Rogers and Rhonda Fry both of Fritch, Karon Baker of Sulphur Springs, TX; brother - Sterling Rogers of San Marcos, TX; four sisters - Adeline Boyd of Colorado City, TX, Doris Yeager of Dallas, Ruth Haddeston of Tow, TX, Estelle Conaway of Colorado City, TX; two grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
