Jo Keener

Jo Helen Keener, 90, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2016.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:30 pm Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Bunavista Baptist Church with Pastor Conny Moore officiating. Burial will be held privately in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family will be receiving friends at 6 pm on Friday, July 22, 2016 at Bunavista Baptist Church.

Jo was born August 7, 1925 in Perrin, Texas to Etta Jane Warren and Dexter Hill. She married Tommy Wilkinson on November 28, 1945. Later, after Tommy's passing, she married Dewayne Keener on December 31, 1984. Jo retired from JCPenney as a seamstress. She made clothes for everyone in town. Her heart belonged to her church, where she served in many capacities.

She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Tommy Wilkinson; and nine siblings.

Survivors include her husband, Dewayne Keener of the home; daughters, Judy Janeway and husband John of Fairview, Texas, Janette Gassaway and husband Robert of Fairview, Texas, Janie Stuebgen of Fritch; son, Tommy Joe Wilkinson of Borger; step-sons, Don Keener and wife Yvonne of Borger, Lynn Keener and wife Sharon of Borger; step-daughter, Anna Keeney of Borger; grandchildren, Amy Beck and husband David, Chad Janeway and wife Angela, Cory Gassaway and wife Amanda, Etta Gassaway, Chase Gassaway and wife Cassie, Mitzi Reed and husband Nathan, Joey Stuebgen and wife Alissa, Cody Wilkinson and wife Trish, Colton Wilkinson, Josh Keeney and wife Marcy, Jim Keeney and wife Ashley, Joedy Keeney and wife Jessica, Tasha Keener and husband Dustin, Kelsey Keener and wife Leticia, Kolby Adame and husband Eric, Sandra Salim Washington and husband Daniel, and Leslie Keener; 45 great great grandchildren; brother, Charlie Hill and wife Charlotte of Saginaw and a host of extended family.
