Joan Ward

Joan Ward, 77, of Fritch, TX went to be with her Heavenly Father on December 19th, 2016.

Joan was born August 31st, 1939 in Amarillo, TX and attended First Christian Church in Fritch. Joan lived and worked in Plainview, TX where she worked at Lytle Scale Company as a secretary before opening Place Around the Corner Dress Store and then opening Minute Copy Shop. Joan was a very hard working house wife, raising grandkids and great grandkids the rest of her life. She was proceeded in death by her husband Jack Ward, her parents Bill and June Reed, her parents Johnny and Jeannette Broaddus, both sets of grandparents, a daughter Kyme Garrett, great grandson Issac Lozano and a half-brother Jerry Broaddus. Joan is survived by brother Jack Broaddus of Dallas, TX, daughter and son-in-law Cathy and Ron Brown of Colby, KS, daughter and son-in-law Donna and Dale Burge of Clyde, TX, son and daughter-in-law Donnie and Cheryl Richardson of Clyde, TX, half-sister Stephanie Murrell of Fritch, TX, half-brother Jeff Broaddus of Fritch, TX, 9 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on January 9th, 2016 at the First Christian Church in Fritch, TX at 11:00am (400 Overland Trail). In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established with the Pantex Credit Union in Fritch, TX where donations can be made.
