Jodie Edmond Brock, Jr., 84, passed from this life Wednesday, March 23, 2016.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Borger with Pastor Jodie Meek, Harvest Christian Church of Plainview and Pastor Charlie Morgan, officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Men's Sunday School Class. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Jodie was born October 10, 1931 in Haskell, Texas to Nova Hallie (Mercer) and Jodie Edmond Brock, Sr. He graduated from Borger High School in 1950 and married the love of his life, Peggy Spurrier, in 1949. Jodie proudly served in United States Marine Corps during the Korean War and later in life worked for the Veterans Service office. He worked for Phillips Pipeline, owned Wildcat Oilfield Construction and upon retirement he worked at M.C. Plumley and Associates and Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Jodie blessed many people in his life with his gift of music through The Gospel Harmoneers, God's Country and Bill Glass Prison Ministry. He loved sharing his unwavering faith in God.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Peggy of the home; four daughters, Teresa Gillman and husband Levert of Amarillo, Evelyn Coffman and husband Robert of Borger, Tina Meek and husband Randy of Borger, Jodina Plumley and husband Michael of Borger; grandkids and great grandkids, Cap and Leslyn Gillman (Claire, Georgia, Gray), Jenniffer and Cody Mills (Zeke and Cade), Amanda and John David Dawson (Lydia, Hunter, Sophie), Lindsay and Nick Vinson (Maggie), Lyneé and Cliff Phares (Kamryn, Justin, Hayden), Lynna and Tony Gray (Emilie, Hope, Logan), Justin and Becky Meek (Allie Beth and Gray), Jodie and Amy Meek (Jett, Jaxon, Ainsley), Jordan Meek and girlfriend Angelica Roman, Miclyn and Sam Reese (Hallie and soon to be Porter), Brock and Lauran Plumley (Blake); and his sister, Sue Castner of Lubbock.
