Jody Sneed

Jody Sneed, 82, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2021.

Graveside services will be held 10 am on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Westlawn Memorial Park with Pastor Dwight Kirksey officiating.   Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.   Jody will lie in state beginning at 9 am on Tuesday at the funeral home in Fritch.

Jody was born May 13, 1939 in Hedley, Texas to Austin F. Sneed and Julia Folley Sneed.  She was a member of Celebration Family Church in Fritch. Jody graduated from Amarillo High School in 1957 and also received a Bachelor of Science from West Texas University.   She taught school at Caprock High School in Amarillo and was one of the first female employees hired by Phillips where she worked for 28 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her sister, Jeane King of Edmund, Oklahoma; nieces, Kari King of Edmund, Oklahoma, Lori King Gonzales of New Castle, Oklahoma; family of her heart, Linda and Jason Wolfe, David and Paulette Dozier, Francis Bowman, Ralph and Teresa Doughty, Gary and Regina Austin, Jimmy Fox, Marlene Cooper, Pam Martin, Elaine Costillo, David and Helen Fenter and her church family.
