JoElla Long, 76 of Fritch died Wednesday July 17th at home. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Saturday at St. Andrew Methodist Church in Borger with Rev. John Westman officiating. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch. Burial will be at Garber Cemetery in Garber, Oklahoma under the direction of Dugger Funeral Home of Garber, Oklahoma.
JoElla was born September 27, 1936 at Sayre, Oklahoma to Alfred and Sara Jones Halford. She married George Long December 3,1953 in Borger. She was a homemaker, certified chef of Cordon Bleu and was past director of Tralee Crisis Center. She was a member of St. Andrew Methodist Church.
She is survived by husband George of Fritch. Daughters Katherine long of Gordonville, TX and Rebecca E. Bodey and husband Robert of Stinnett. Son Mikeal and wife Linda Long of Bartlesville, Ok. Nephews Brian Halford of Dallas, Oregon and Royce Halford of Salem, Oregon. Ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers family suggests memorials may be made to Borger Kiwanis Club or BSA Hospice.
There will be a family visitation at Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors in Fritch Friday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
