John Daniel "Jack" Amorella

John Daniel “Jack” Amorella, 74, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2023.

Jack was born September 2, 1948, in Oak Park, Illinois to Joseph Amorella and Catherine Toomey Amorella. He married Erma Apodaca on April 14, 1972, in Clovis, New Mexico.  Jack proudly served in the United States Air Force.  He was a member of St. John Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, and the American Legion.  In 2011, Jack retired from Southern Union Gas (Texas Gas Service) after a 40-year career.  He enjoyed reading a good book, working on his truck, and tinkering in his shop.  Jack never missed an episode of Jeopardy.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Catherine Amorella; and his wife, Erma Amorella.

Survivors include his son, David Amorella and wife Cami; daughter, Kate Proff and husband Nic; siblings Kathy (Al) Cichon, Jim (Dorothy) Amorella, Jody (Ray) Deak, and Daniel Amorella; grandchildren, Logan, Alysen, Jack, and Will; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of extended family.

In lieu of services, family will celebrate his life privately and encourage others to honor his life in their own way.
