John Bailey, Jr.

John Eddie J.B. Bailey, Jr., 55, died Friday, October 1, 2010 in Borger.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday at New Zion Baptist Church with Bishop Ed Skiles of Liberty Worship Church officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Garden at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mr. Bailey was born on December 23, 1954 in Vernon, Texas to John and Georgia Bailey, Sr. He had been a Borger resident for 31 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during Viet Nam. He married Karen Cole on June 1, 1982 in Borger and worked in maintenance at WalMart. He loved to help people. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, nephew and grandparents.

He is survived by his wife Karen Bailey of the home, two sons Eddie Thomas and wife Cathy and Donell Thomas all of Albuquerque, NM, four daughters Nakisha Bailey of Wichita Falls, TX, Natasha Bailey and Samantha Vaughn of Borger, Tiffany Bray of Amarillo, three brothers Danny Bailey of Wichita Falls, TX, Gary Bailey of Vernon, TX, Kevin Bailey of Quanah, TX, four sisters Katesia Norman of Borger, Virginia Dickerson and Paula Bailey both of Vernon, TX, Pam Herndon of Norman, OK, twenty grandchildren and two special granddaughters.
