John Marcus King, 45, went to be with God, June 29, 2008 in Amarillo, due to gall bladder complications.BRBRRosary services will be at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 3rd, at Minton Memorial Chapel. Memorial Mass will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 5th at St. John's Catholic Church with Monsignor Michael Colwell officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Devotion at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mr. King was born on July 18, 1962 in Borger and had been a lifetime resident of Borger. John graduated from Borger High School in 1981. He was a floor hand at Preferred Well Service, and was a member of St. John's Catholic Church.BRBRHe is survived by his son - Johnathan King of Borger, step-daughter - Lauren Barber of Borger, fiance' - Michelle Campa of Borger, eight brothers - Pat King of Bastrop, Mike King of Austin, Steve King of Elgin, Kevin King of Cedar Park, Brian King of New Braunfels, David King of Cedar Park, Bob King of Wimberly, Tim King of New Braunfles, five sisters - Kathie King-Willemin of Austin, Edi King of Borger, Gladie King of New Braunfels, Peggy Hopson of Borger, and Noreen King of Fritch.BRBRJohnny was a caring father, brother and uncle. He was a wonderful friend to many. He was soon to have a new wife, but was called away. Johnny was loved by so many people. His smile and presence will be greatly missed.BR
